Why choose us?

A bit Special is owned by Abbey England who have been supplying British made bits since 1982. We offer a wide range of bits based on traditional English patterns for a variety of uses at competitive prices. We work with the best vulcanite in the world and offer a choice of metals and specially formulated alloys designed to get the very best from your horse. We can also supply bespoke cheek and mouthpiece combinations and even create bits to your exact specifications. Each one is hand-finished and individually checked for quality.

 

 

Why don't we have online purchasing?

This website is to show customers the type of bits that are available. If you would like to place an order or have a general sales enquiry, please email abitspecial@abbeyengland.com with your order.

How long will it take to receive my order?

If your chosen bit is in stock, we aim to dispatch orders within 48 hours Monday – Friday excluding bank holidays. If your bit(s) needs to be made, please allow 6 – 8 weeks.

What if you don’t list a bit we can see online?

We offer over 300 patterns and offer a bespoke bitting service. If your desired bit is not listed, please email abitspecial@abbeyengland.com with your specifications so we can quote you.

Where are your bits made?

Our bits are made in our Walsall Factory here in the UK.

A bit special offer international shipping and these rates are dependent on the size and weight of your parcel to ensure the best possible rate. Shipping to UK addresses start from £7.50.
