Dutch 3 & 4 Ring

Dutch gag bit cheeks consist of "stacks" of rings. There is one ring above the mouthpiece and the ring below that is attached straight to the mouthpiece. This ring allows the bit to be used similarly to a snaffle. The lower 1 or 2 rings provide the gag action. Dutch gags are flexible bits providing options for the severity of the bit. Our Dutch 3 Ring Gags and Dutch 4 Ring Gags can be fitted with a variety of different mouth pieces. Single jointed or double jointed, rollers and spinners. For example on the right you can see a Dutch 4 ring gag based on the Tom Thumb Iron & Copper mouth but here we have fitted a stainless steel version of the mouth for horses that don't like the rust. |
